We are raising funds which will go towards the development of a passive playground and to install a waha ātea which is a Māori entrance way into our kura/school, both projects will benefit all our current and future tamariki/students.
We have partnered with Go Raise It to run our fundraising platform and we have some great fundraising spot prizes up for grabs – further details on the fundraising website.

COLOUR RUN FAQ’s
Q: Can our friends and extended family members participate?
A: Of course they can, we will have a registration tent on the school grounds. Cost will be $10 per person or $15 for a family. Adults can run free with a child, especially with a little person.

Q: Where do I go when we arrive at the event?
A: If you have a registered fundraising page go straight to the start line. To purchase entry on the day, go to the registration tent.

Q: Will we all go out together?
A: No, everyone will congregate at the start line and we will send waves of people out 5 minutes apart. Silverdale Kindergarten children and families will have the option of an earlier start time of 9am – 9.15am

Q: Will the colour wash off, is the colour safe and will it damage my clothes?
A: Yes, by all accounts the colour washes off clothing, however to play it safe we recommend old clothes. The colour shows up best on white tee shirts. The colour is non-toxic (coloured cornflour).

Q: Will we get wet?
A: Yes, you will get a little wet and if you want, you can get extremely wet.

Q: About the course?
A: It’s around 2.5kms long with lots of fun activities for all ages on route. There will be an adult at station 2 to advise the short course for our little ones. There is no prize for the fastest person so have fun and do the activities. We have told our helpers to not aim the colour at people’s faces, but in reality, expect it all over you, especially adults participating! Younger kids may like to wear swim goggles or sunglasses to protect their eyes. We will have water at each station to rinse eyes if needed.

Q: We have sports/ other activities in the morning. Do we have to be there at 9.15am?
A: You are welcome to run the course anytime from 9.15am, the final race will be at 11:10am.

Q: Will there be coffee?
A: Yes!

Q: What food is available?
A: Sausage sizzle, drinks, ice creams and ice blocks.

Q: Will there be EFTPOS?
A: Yes, and cash sales available.

Q: What if it’s raining?
A: We won’t cancel unless the weather is extreme, the school Facebook page will confirm any cancellation.
