Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to Liam Coetzee, Mason Monaghan, Lienke Malan, Devon Edmondson, Mikayla Anderson, Larsen Fray, Eric Zhao, Leo Zhang, Anissa Barry, Preston Jamieson, Adele Ringleff, Jaxson Strydom, Rowan Jamieson and Kaysarn Takiaho.

End of Day Pick Up

Just a reminder that all children must be picked up from school by 3.15pm. If you are going to be later than 3.15pm then you will have to put your child/ren into Kelly Club. This term we have had a number of children playing on the playground after school waiting to be picked up. This is a safety concern for us as the children aren’t supervised after school and if something happened to them there would be no one to help them or support them.

If we find your child/ren on school grounds after 3.15pm unsupervised we will put them into Kelly Club at your cost. Thank you for your understanding.

2024 Country Show Day – Saturday 19 October

Preparations for our 2024 Country Show Day are now in full swing with the big day fast approaching. For those of you who are new to the Silverdale Country Show Day it is the biggest fundraising event in our school calendar and is a great family day out. It will be THE place to be on Saturday 19 October.

School Uniform

Please ensure your child wears the correct uniform each day and that all items are clearly named. To order new uniform items please go to http://www.schooluniform.co.nz/

Green polo shirt (with school logo) Year 0-6

Green fleece jacket (with school logo)

Black culottes

Black cargo shorts or cargo pants (no track pants)

Black school shoes or black sandals (no boots)

Black socks or stockings (no ankle tights/leggings)

Black sun hat with school logo (Terms 1 and 4)

Black, white or green hair bands/ties

Short sleeved thermals are permitted to wear underneath.

Jewellery is not to be worn except for watches, stud earrings and items of a religious or cultural nature.

2024 Enrolments

Do you have a child who is turning 5 in 2025? Or do you know of a family who has a child about to turn 5? If so, we would like to have all enrolment forms for any children turning 5 in 2025 into the school office as soon as possible. This information allows us to plan ahead and ensure that we have classrooms ready and class teachers appointed for our new entrant classes. Travelwise Tuesdays – it’s back!

Travelwise Tuesdays is a schoolwide competition to encourage students to come to school using active modes of transport. For example, students can scoot, walk, bike, or skate to school.

Travelwise Leaders will collect the data from each class on Wednesdays. The winning class each term will receive a milo morning to congratulate them for their efforts.

Well done to our Term 2 winners – Rm 26!

Our goal is to promote fitness and fun when travelling to school as well as caring about the environment.

From today (Wednesday 31st July) you will be able to purchase your child’s calendar art on the Kids Art website. This is a PTA fundraiser, our funding for 2024. This afternoon teachers will send home a printed letter with your child’s code and instructions on how to purchase the products.

Purchases can only be made from Wednesday 31 July till Thursday 15 August.

Available for purchase this year are calendars, notebooks, greeting cards, a mouse pad, diaries and a range of pens.

Yummy Stickers.

Yes, it is that time again. Do you munch away on Yummy crunchy apples, if so start saving those Yummy stickers as they get our school, free sports gear!

Let’s see if we can replace and get new sports gear for our school this year.

Need a chart, Sticker Collection Sheet come to Room 21 or just collect your stickers on any piece of scrap paper.

Once your paper is full, bring it back to Room 21.
