Mothers/Significant Adult Morning

Mother’s Morning/Significant Adult morning is on Friday 10 May from 9.00am to 10.20am. All mothers or significant adults are invited to their child’s classroom to spend the morning with them.

Pick Up and Drop off Students

Scheduled Appointments

If you have a scheduled appointment  for your child during school hours please follow these instructions:

  1. Email the teacher (all teachers emails are on the School Website) before 8.30am with the time you will be collecting your child. 
  2. You will pick your child up from the stop, drop, go area.
  3. Please stay in the car and the teacher will release your child at the specified time that you have requested.
  4. Please call or text this number 0273369199 telling us that you have your child.

Early Pick Up

If you need to pick your child up from school before 3.00pm please follow these instructions:

  1. Email the office what time you need to pick up your child. office@silverdaleprimary.school.nz
  2. You will pick up your child from the stop, drop, go area.
  3. Please stay in your car and call or text this number 0273369199 telling us you are at school.
  4. We will send your child to you, please stay in your car.
  5. Please call or text this number 0273369199 telling us that you have your child.

 

Late Drop Off

If you are dropping your child to school late, please do not get out of your car just send your child to their classroom, they do not need to go to the office.

 

Teacher Only Day

The school will be closed on Friday 31 May for an Kāhui Ako ki Orewa teacher only day with Orewa Primary School, Wainui School, Dairy Flat School and Orewa Beach School, Orewa College, Ahutoetoe School and Nukumea School.

Book Fair

Book Week will be taking place this term from Friday 10 May to Friday 17 May. The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in room 31 and 33 from Friday to Thursday. Please come in that week and look at the range of books and other items available for sale. Details of the times it will be open are below and will also be on notices around the school.

The Blues are launching their annual Boot collection campaign, called Blues Best Foot Forward. This year it will be in collaboration with local charity call ‘Boot IT’.
Silverdale School is taking part and have a collection point at the school office. We will be collecting boots until the 17 May 2024. 

The collected boots will go to children and clubs who need them.  

School Cheer @ Wednesday Lunchtime

Do you have a kid who won’t sit still and spends their life upside down or dancing around? Cheer & Tumbling may be the sport for them! 

If your child is interested, send them along to give it a go with Crave Athletics experience and qualified coaches at Lunchtime on Wednesday in the hall. 

Available for any Silverdale School Student in years 3 – 6. All experience levels welcome!
