Mufti Day Friday 4 August

On Friday 4 August we will be having a mufti day in support of Cure Kids. We encourage children to wear red and to bring in a gold coin as a donation to Cure Kids.

Blessing of New Classrooms

We will be having a blessing of the new classrooms on Wednesday 16 August at 6.00am, please be at school by 5.45am. PTA News

The PTA are pleased to announce Beats by Bingo – Mardi Gras. This event is strictly for adults only, book your baby sitters now for a fun night out!

What is Beats by Bingo?

It is a musical bingo show, instead of numbers on your bingo cards it’s song titles. Each individual will receive a bingo card per round. When the DJ plays a song and that song is on your card, you mark it off. First person that marks all songs off vertical, horizontal or vertical wins that round.

There will be 5 rounds:

80’s
90’s
Rock
Hip Hop/ RnB
What’s your name, what’s your number

Where do I purchase the tickets?

You can purchase your tickets on Kindo, there are limited tickets available, so get in quick!

BASKETBALL SPORTS COORDINATOR URGENTLY REQUIRED:

Our school relies on volunteers to help coordinate our teams and we are needing someone to take over the coordination of basketball.

It is a fairly smooth operation, with the most input required at the beginning of each year to gather registrations and create teams, from there most teams register directly per term.

The role may take approx. 5-10 hours a week (max) of your time.

This role needs someone who can take over before mid August. If you are interested, please contact silverdalesportshub@gmail.com for more info.

Wanted – Year 4 Basketball Player

Silverdale Raptors are looking for a Year 4 player for their team.

Trainings are Wednesday morning before school (at Silverdale) and games are Thursday afternoons at Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre.

SOFTBALL – FREE HAVE A GO DAY!

Open to ALL Silverdale School students!

Thursday 3rd of August on the school field (or turf, based on weather) straight after school from 3.10 – 3.55.

Softball season is approaching and we have a great softball club in our own neighborhood, Hibiscus Coast softball club. Attend this 6 week coaching course offered by North Harbour Softball, to give your child an introduction to softball or join the sessions to learn some hitting, throwing and catching skills. Fun sessions that cater to all age groups, boys and girls. The sessions will go ahead on a weekly basis on the school field or on the covered turf area in the event of rain. All equipment is provided and Parents do not need to attend the have a go session or subsequent sessions as children can go straight to the course from class at the end of the school day.

Try the first session out for free and register after if your child is interested in continuing the fun.
