Cameron has been closely monitoring this event and the likely impact this will have. Based on the current advice from Auckland Emergency Management and Met Service he has made the decision to close the school on Monday 13 February.

He will make a decision about closing the school on Tuesday 14 February on Monday. He will let the community know his decision about whether the school will be closed on Tuesday by 12.30pm on Monday.

This decision to close the school on Monday has been made with the safety of staff and students in mind and has not been taken likely.

Families should continue to monitor and follow all advice from Auckland Emergency Management.
