Matariki Celebrations
Friday/Rāmere, te 2 o July/Hōngongoi to Friday/Rāmere, te 9 o July/Hōngongoi, our kura/school will be celebrating Matariki 2021 (Maori New Year) with various events and activities. Feel free to take a look at our Planning Overview here.
You are all invited to come along on Friday/Rāmere, te 2 o July/Hōngongoi to watch our Matariki performance in the school hall. This will be filled with performances by some of our talented tamariki.
Over the course of the following week, there will be a number of activities, the most popular being our annual manu tukutuku/kite making. On Thursday//Rāpare, te 8 o July/Hōngongoi, at 11.25am, the whole kura/school will go with our whānau to Metro Park to fly our manu tukutuku/kites.
Finally, on Friday/Rāmere, te 9 o July/Hōngongoi, we will have a shared morning tea in our rooms as a way to round off the week.

PTA Disco
Thank you to our wonderful PTA who ran and organised our school disco last week. The children and adults all loved the disco and all had a great time. Thank you to everyone who helped out with this amazing event.
Our PTA are a group of fantastic, hard working parents who run amazing events for our children and our school community. I would like to thank our PTA for all their hard work and the fantastic effort they put into our school.
The PTA Matariki disco was such a success. On behalf of the PTA we would like to thank:

Thank you to all the children and parents for making last night such a successful night. We sold out of pretty much everything, even though we bought more than last year and the children had an absolute blast! Can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
Police Visit to School
Yesterday we were very lucky to have the Police visit our school. The Eagle Helicopter, Police Motorbike and Police Dog squad came to school and talked with our children. The children had a great time.
